South Ossetia is considering the formation of a special commission to write off the debts of small and medium enterprises, Ossetia.ru cites Minister for Economic Development Zalina Khugati.
He clarified that many businessmen had been forced to take loans for the restoration of businesses after the war of August 2008. Loans granted under state guarantees may be written off, he clarified.
Minister for Emergencies Anatoly Bibilov noted that the businessmen will be checked to see whether they had really used the loans for business restoration.
The government of South Ossetia will also consider an investment program for socio-economic development of the republic in 2014-2016.
