The former Iranian president Mahmud Ahmadinejad initiated printing fives times more currency than under the previous administration, the Iranian news portal Khabar Online reports.
According to the information, in 2005 the currency volume of Iran was about 56 trillion rials and reached the level of 338 trillion rials during the first three months of the last solar year (which ended on March 21st): 280 trillion rials were printed during Ahmadinejad’s term, Trend reports.
