World Bank calls on international community not to lower grain exports

Due to the fires in Russia, the authorities have decided to cease grain exports until the end of 2010. According to a statement by the board of directors of the World Bank, this alone will not create a crisis on the markets, but destabilises the situation for poor countries, the BBC reports. Fortunately, the situation can be saved by exporting grain from another countries, such as the USA, the World Bank believes.
