Kazakhstan to make inventory count of rural infrastructure

Kazakh Vice Minister for Regional Development Serik Jumangarin said that the republic was planning inventory counts of all industrial, social and engineering infrastructure in rural areas, CA-News reports.

The process will include classification of residential areas into district centers, rural residential areas, central manors of rural districts and other areas.

The Development of Regions Program includes measures to expand and modernize industry, develop small and medium-sized businesses, social and engineering facilities, housing construction, develop state financial and other services.

Kazakhstan has 6936 rural residential areas inhabited by 7.6 million people. 1310 of them have high development potential, 5192 have medium potential. 119 of them are district centers, 2182 are centers of village districts.
