The North-South Corridor will transport 25-26 million tons in 2015. It includes construction of the Resht-Astara(Iran)-Astara(Azerbaijan) section. 82 bridges 10-1500m long each, 53 tunnels 22km long will be built for the Astara-Resht-Kazvin project. The railway will be 205km long, including Kazvin-Resht section being 164km long. The railway project will expand economic links with Europe.
