Vladimir Zuyev, head of the subdepartment for international economic organizations and European integration of the Faculty for World Economy and Politics of the National Research Institute of the Higher School of Economics of Russia, said that the zones of Russian influences were boundless. Besides energy, Russia can play an essential role in agricultural development.
Zuyev believes that Russia will need to increase food production by 50-70% in the next few years due to increase of world population. Russia has vast economic resources. Russia has one of the highest level of water-supply for the population. Brazil is the only country with a higher level.
The expert noted that Russian business was switching to a more transparent economic scheme. It will become more complicated for companies to evade tax.
