Taman Port to expand in Krasnodar

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed the order to expand the Taman Port in the Krasnodar Territory, ITAR-TASS reports.

The port will be enlarged by merging with areas of the Tuzla Cape and artificial land spots. The port is expected to have a traffic of 93.8 million tons of cargo a year. Over 228 billion rubles will be invested in the project.

The project will be realized as a state-private partnership. Potential investors, Transportation Ministry and the regional administration have signed an agreement of intent today.
