The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has started clearing the territory around a platform on the Bulla Deniz Field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea using the Vikhr, Caspian Support and Barra ships, Trend reports.
The exploratory oil well N90 caught fire at 11.30 pm on August 17. The sea is 26.5m deep there. The fire started during drilling of an oil well 5868m deep. 62 workers were evacuated.
