The number of vehicles in Azerbaijan increased from 511,500 in 2003 to 1.136 million in 2012. The number of vehicles per 100 families increased from 22 in 2003 to 46 in 2012, Trend reports.
58,300 vehicles were imported in Azerbaijan in January-July 2013. They include 52,700 cars, 4,500 trucks, 540 buses and 560 special vehicles.
Azerbaijan produced 330 cars in January-June 2013, exceeding production in January-July 2012 3.4-fold. The number of trucks produced in January-July 2013 totaled 150, exceeding production in January-July by 72.9%.
