Iran creates a bank of free economic zones

Seyed Mahmud Reza Hoseyny, deputy secretary of the high council of the activities of free economy zones of Iran, said that a bank of free economic zones is going to be organized.
According to Hoseyny, the bank will be opened on the island of Kish, and that it will obtain departments in other zones.
The vice president of Iran, Hamid Bakai, said that 80 billion dollars have now been invested in free economic zones; 20 billion comes from foreign investors. Many projects are being researched and he thinks that the number of investments will soon be even higher.
Hamid Bakai noted that one out of every five investments are going to the zone of Ervend in the province of Huzestan. 12 million people live in this zone and it is important to create infrastructure, build railroads and improve industry here.
