Georgia to export goods worth $100 million to Russia this year

By the end of this year Georgia will export goods worth $100 million to Russia, Zurab Abashidze, the Special Envoy of the country's Prime Minister, said while addressing Georgian lawmakers.

This year Georgia restarted exports of its mineral water, wine, brandy and some agricultural products to Russia.

Russia banned Georgian imports during the 2008 war. The Ivanishvili administration has been trying to re-establish trade ties since the Georgian Dream coalition won the parliamentary elections last year.
