South Ossetia has received the first part of the funds intended for the implementation of an investment program. Russia transferred to South Ossetia 949 million 553 thousand rubles. "Most of the work has already been done, and many contractors have been working on their own funds. Now, these works will be paid for," the Minister of Finance of South Ossetia Aza Khabalova said today.
From the tranche the Finance Ministry plans to spend 230 million rubles on road infrastructure, 408 million on the construction of engineering networks, 70 million on the construction and rehabilitation of housing, more than 107 million on government buildings, about 120 million on the development of the social sphere, and 17 million rubles on the state agriculture development program.
The investment program for the promotion of the socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2013 was approved in Moscow on 12 July at the eighth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic and social cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia. The volume of Russian investments in the economy of South Ossetia in the current year is 2.7 billion rubles.
