Russian private oil company LUKOIL has invested some 400 billion roubles in two oil deposits in the Caspian region, the head of the company, Vagit Alekperov, says.
The Vladimir Filnovsky deposit situated 220 km from Astrakhan was found in 2005. The deposit is expected to contain over 153.1 million tons of oil and 32.2 cubic metres of gas.
A second deposit was discovered in 2000, ITAR-TASS reports.
