Azerbaijan and World Bank discuss cooperation plans for 2014

Larisa Leshchenko, head of the Baku office of the World Bank, said yesterday that the bank will continue work on road and water infrastructure and will develop new projects within the framework of the four-year strategy that expires in mid-2014, Trend reports.

The World Bank initiated modernization of the court system in Azerbaijan. Its board of directors may approve the project by late March 2014.

Azerbaijan joined the WB in 1992. The World Bank has financed over 50 projects worth over $3 billion total in Azerbaijan since granting it membership.
