Azerbaijan will spend 2.95 billion manats (14.7% of its total budget) on defense in 2014. The expenses will increase by 8.7%, compared with the volumes in 2013, Trend reports.
State budget expenses will total 20.1 billion manats (34.3% of forecasted GDP of the next year), exceeding the budget of 2012 by 15.2% and by 1.1% in 2013.
1.25 billion manats (6.2% of the budget) will be spent on courts, law enforcers and prosecutors. 59.4 million manats will be spent on courts, exceeding the previous year's expenses by 1.5% (0.9 million manats).
