SOCAR announces price of plant construction in Georgia

The head of SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev said that the project to build a plant for carbamide production in Georgia may require about $ 1 billion.

The construction of the plant will begin in 2014 and it will be the largest investment project of Azerbaijan in Georgia, he said.

Azerbaijan is already underway in the project to build a major urea plant, Rovnag Abdullayev said.

Construction of the carbamide plant in Azerbaijan will be completed in 2016. The general contractor for the construction is South Korea's Samsung Engineering Co., Ltd.
