Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev formed a state commission for development of the Shah Deniz Field, expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), realization of the Trans-Anatolia Pipeline (TANAP) and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) yesterday, News Azerbaijan reports.
Azerbaijani Vice Prime Minister Yagub Eyubov became the head of the commission.TANAP will become part of the Southern Gas Corridor, running from the east to the west of Turkey and to the border of Bulgaria and Greece. The gas pipeline will have a capacity of 16 billion cubic meters a year, about 6 billion of which will be consumed by Turkey. The project will cost $7 billion.
