Russia releases special banknotes for Sochi Olympics

The Russian Central Bank has announced the release of special 100-ruble banknotes for the 22nd Winter Olympic and 11th Paralympic Games hosted by Sochi in 2014, the Central Bank reports.20 million banknotes, twice the sum initially planned for release, will be printed.The banknotes were presented on March 12, 2013. The special banknotes are as legal as the 100-ruble banknotes of 1997, 2001 and 2004.
