Russia and Armenia to agree on subsidizing tariff on gas before end of 2013
Moscow and Yerevan will sign an agreement on subsidizing the tariff on gas by the end of the year, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia, Armen Movsisyan, said on Monday.Russia will be subsidizing the price of natural gas supplies to Armenia. Movsisyan said that the issue will be discussed in the framework of joining the Customs Union.Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said in May that the Armenian government will subsidize 30% of the price of gas. Later, Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan said that the government is trying to involve Russia in the question of subsidies, since it owns 80% of the company "ArmRusgasprom." In the summer of 2013 both sides discussed the possibility of increasing the share of "Gazprom" in "ArmRosgazprom" from 80% to 100%.
