SOCAR to provide free gas to religious sites in Georgia

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has began providing sites of worship of all religious denominations in Georgia with free gas.Throughout the year, more than two hundred churches, monasteries, mosques and synagogues across Georgia will receive free gas. SOCAR will spend more than 1 million laris, Trend reports.The head of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev and Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II have signed a memorandum of understanding. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia Kakha Kaladze.
