The second stage of development of the Shah Deniz Gas Field will cost $25 billion, $1.7 billion of which will be invested this year, Trend reports.
The final investment decision for the project will be made in December 2013. First gas will be extracted in 2018.
16 billion cubic meters of gas will be extracted within the framework of the second stage, exceeding volumes of the first stage by 7 billion cubic meters. 6 billion cubic meters will be transported to Europe and the same volume to Turkey.
