The head of industry and mines of the Iranian province of Gilyan, Mohammed Khoseyn Asgaryan, has spoken about the start of construction of a petrochemical plant in the province, Iran News reports, citing ‘IRIB news’.
Asgaryan said that the construction was initiated by President Ahmadinejad. It will be constructed in the Lushan Sharkhrestana Rudebar area.
The plant will produce up to 1.6 million tons of carbamide and ammonia annually. Investment in the plant is approximately $700 million. Realization of the project will be carried out by the private and state sectors.
