Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that a 100-day report of administration will be released. The first part was presented by himself yesterday, the second will be published by mass media, the third by vice presidents and ministers.
Rouhani said that the government plans to grant low-income families two packages of basic food by March 20, 2014. Inflation has exceeded 40% (unprecedented in 50 years) from the previous year (ending on March 20), economic growth totaled -5.8%. He said that he had reduced inflation from 43% when coming to power to 36% and promised to reduce it to 35%. The president plans to increase economic growth from -5.8% to 0-0.5% and then 3% the next year.
Rouhani noted that his predecessors left debts worth over 2 trillion rials, mainly in the banking sector. Iran will continue enriching uranium according to the NPT but will not build nuclear weapons, he concluded.
