Baku will open a center for economic studies of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). The decision to open the center was made at the ECO Council of Ministers in Tehran on November 24-25.
The Baku center will engage in strategic studies of economic development of ECO members, offer new economic projects and models, develop joint efficient programs.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev proposed formation of the center in Baku back in 2006. The final declaration included his idea.
