Caspian energy security to be discussed in Istanbul

Istanbul will host the Caspian Forum on Wednesday to discuss the development of economy and energy in the Caspian Region, RIA Novosti reports. Haldun Yavash, Director General of the Institute for Strategic Research of the Caspian, said that the third forum in Istanbul will focus on development of resources in the Caspian, transportation infrastructure and energy security. Energy scientists, transportation specialists, politicians, businessmen, officials of civil institutions will take part in the talks.Yavash added that Turkish ministers, representatives of Balkan states, EU, US, countries through the territory of which the TAP gas pipeline will run will take part in the forum.The first Caspian Forum was organized in Istanbul in 2012 by the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Caspian. The second one was hosted by New York in September 2013.
