Russia sends 25 tons of food to Syria’s Latakia

An Il-76 of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies brought 25 tons of food to Latakia (Syria), said Alexander Tomashov, Head of the Department for International Affairs of the Ministry for Emergencies, ITAR-TASS reports.Latakia Governor Abdulqader Abdulsheikh was at Basil Airport for the arrival of the plane.Russia has sent over 200 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria, Lebanon and Jordan this year and 70 tons for Syrian refugees in Palestine. About 900 Russian and CIS citizens have returned from Syria on the planes of the Ministry for Emergencies.
