The Academician M.F. Reshetnikov Information Satellite Systems (Russia) has offered to build a communication satellite for Armenia, Deputy Head of the company Deniz Nikolayev said, News.am reports.
The company will be responsible for ground infrastructure,the training of specialists and technical support for the project. The satellite will cover Europe, Asia and the CIS. It may be based on the express model and launched using the Proton and Zenit rockets.
Armenia is searching for investors to build the Armsat telecommunication satellite. Armenian Minister for Transportation and Communications Gagik Beglaryan has already met investors in Germany and Canada.
