Georgia requests $1.5 billion from UN for refugees

David Darakhvelidze, Georgian Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees, will meet the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres, officials of the World Bank and the Council of Europe in Geneva today, Trend reports.This will be Darakhvelidze's second meeting with Guterres.Georgia will request $1.5 billion from the UN. 70-80% of the sum will be spent on settlement of refugees. The program will bring results in 2015.
