39 documents to be signed for Shah Deniz-2 investment decision

Rovnag Abdullayev, Head of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), said that 39 documents were planned to be signed for the final decision on the second phase of development of the Shah Deniz Field (about 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves).The second phase will cost $25 billion, according to a BP report for three quarters of 2013. First gas will be available in 2018.16 billion cubic meters of gas will be extracted within the framework of the second stage of Shah Deniz development (9 billion in first stage). 6 billion cubic meters will be transported to Turkey and 6 billion to Europe.
