Renovation of Makhachkala airport costs 2.4 bln rubles

On November 29 the Administration of Civil Airports company announced an open competition for construction and installation works at Makhachkala airport. The winner of the competition will be announced on January 24, 2014, the representative of the company Elena Mikheeva said.The reconstruction of the airport in Makhachkala will begin next spring. It will cost more than 2.4 billion rubles, ITAR-TASS reports.As previously reported by Vestnik Kavkaza, a year ago the Russian federal authorities planned to allocate 3.5 billion rubles for the reconstruction of Makhachkala Airport. However, the project was frozen.
