About 15 Israeli companies attended the Baku Tel 2013 Exhibition. Arie Mishne, Director General of the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IACCI), told Vestnik Kavkaza that Israel had the biggest pavilion at the exhibition hall.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the pavilion and paid special attention to technological innovations presented. An Android smartphone made by LifeWatch was presented. It has sensors monitoring health condition of the owner.Mobileye Vision Technologies, an Israeli company specialized in development of safety equipment for drivers, interested the Transportation Ministry and the police of Azerbaijan.
Mishne said that Israeli businessmen wanted to expand their presence in the Azerbaijani market. He noted that agreements were reached at the exhibition to realize joint projects.
Alex Kaplun and Arie Mishne, heads of the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met minister for communication and information technologies, officials of the Ministry for Agriculture, Ministry for Emergencies, AZPROMO. They discussed intensification of Azerbaijani-Israeli cooperation.
