The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has started moving communication facilities from an area 60km away from Baku. The space will be used for construction of an oil and gas processing complex.
4200 hectares were granted in the Garadag District of Baku and the Absheron District of Azerbaijan for the facility. Engineers are moving telephone and power lines, as well as gas and water pipelines away from the construction area.
SOCAR Vice President for Refinement David Mamedov said that the company was planning to launch the processing complex in 2023-2025.
