Turkmenistan is planning to build a desalination plant on the Caspian coast.
The construction works will begin in December 2013. The plant is scheduled to be commissioned in May 2016, RIA Novosti reports.
In the recent years, Turkmenistan has been investing a lot in the development of water resources, the lack of which makes agriculture production less efficient.
