Timur Gamzatov, head of the regional RusHydro office, said yesterday that the largest solar power plant in Russia had been launched, RIA Novosti reports.
The facility is worth 1.5 euros. It has a first-stage output of 1,000KW and total output of 5,000KW. The full launch of the facility will take place in May 2014.
The power plant will produce 1.5-1.8 million KW per hour a year. Its productivity will reach 8-9 million KW per hour a year after full launch.
Two solar power plants are being designed in the Khunzakhsky District of Dagestan with a total output of 45MW.
