Georgia has announced a design competition for the graphic symbol of its national currency, lari (GEL), the president of the National Bank Giorgi Kadagidze said.
Kadagidze expects that a graphic symbol will make the national currency popular in the world, ITAR-TASS reports.
Those wishing to participate in the contest must submit their application before January 27, 2014.
