Iraqi Kurdistan starts oil exports to Turkey

Iraqi Kurdistan has started transporting oil to Turkey. It will pump 300,000 barrels of oil a day, increasing the volume to 400,000 later, Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said, Trend reports.

The minister emphasized that the oil will not be exported to Europe without the permission of Baghdad. He expressed hope that the permission will be given in January.


Iraqi Kurdistan is an autonomy of Iraq and needs the permission of the central government in order to export oil to Europe.
