57 schools to be built in North Caucasus

Russian Minister for Regional Development Igor Slyunyayev said that 15.2 billion rubles will be issued for school construction in the North Caucasus within the Russia’s South Federal Purpose Program (2014-2020) in the next three years, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

He reminded that about 18,000 children in the region were studying in three shifts.

32 schools will be built in Chechnya, 14 in Dagestan, 4 in the Stavropol Territory. Over 10 billion rubles will be granted from the federal budget every year in 2017-2020 due to demographic trends in the North Caucasus.
