Russian Minister for Labour and Social Protection Maksim Topilin said in the Stavropol Territory yesterday that Dagestan had the highest salary debts in the North Caucasian Federal District, Interfax reports.
The region owes 90 million rubles to workers, 50-60 million of them are Dagestani debts.
According to the minister, a bill was ready to increase fines for violating labour laws. He added that a bill was developed, concerning insurances of employers that go bankrupt.
Topilin noted positive trends in employment of the region. He noted that the unemployment level of Chechnya totaled a little over 20% in the late 2013.
