Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri met today. Erdogan plans to meet Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Supreme Leader Ayatollay Ali Khamenei, Trend reports.
The Turkish PM arrived in Iran yesterday. He said that Turkey and Iran were forming the Highest Cooperation Council.
Erdogan clarified that trade turnover between Turkey and Iran had reached $13.5 billion in 2013, $7.6 billion of the sum was earned from exports of oil and gas of Iran. Turkey exported products worth over $4 billion to Iran. The two states plan to achieve a trade turnover of $30 billion in the near future. They plan to achieve up to $100 billion in the next 9 years.
