The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has started gas extraction from the second borehole of the Umid Field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, Trend reports.
The borehole is 6309m deep. It was launched with a daily output of 800,000 cubic meters of gas and 200 tons of condensate.
The SOCAR discovered the Umid Field in 2010. It contained over 200 billion cubic meters of gas and 40 million tons of condensate.
