The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has renewed its discussions with Transneft about the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, RusEnergy.com reports.
The talks started on February 10 and were initiated by Azerbaijan. It wants to extend the contract for the pipeline, which is currently due to expire on February 14.
The SOCAR had been proposing the reorientation of oil exports from Baku-Novorossiysk to Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan until the recent initiative.
