BP to drill two wells at Shah Deniz-2 this year

BP drilled the SDC-02 well within the framework of the Shah Deniz-2 project in 2013 and started drilling the SDC-03 well which will be launched in 2014, abc.az reports.

The Heydar Aliyev unit drilled the SDX-07Ay well in September 2013.

Two wells will be drilled on the offshore structure in 2014. The Shah Deniz-2 project is worth $28 billion. A total of 28 wells will be drilled. First gas from Shah Deniz-2 will be available by the end of 2018. Gas exports to Europe will start in 2019.
