Ankara will not buy Kurdish oil without Baghdad’s permission

Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz denied rumours about purchase of oil from Iraqi Kurdistan for $90 million without permission of Baghdad, Trend reports.The minister expressed hope that Erbil and Baghdad will find common grounds.The Iraqi Kurdistan was reported starting sales of oil to Turkey in January. The central government of Iraq is opposed to transit of Kurdish hydrocarbons through Turkey.
