Ukrainian Acting Energy Minister Eduard Stavitsky expressed hope that prices for Russian gas will stay low in Q2 2014, RIA Novosti reports. He clarified that Ukraine will buy 35 billion cubic meters of gas at a price of $268.5 per thousand cubic meters.
Naftogaz (Ukraine) and Gazprom (Russia) reached an agreement in late 2013, where the gas price was reduced by a third to $268.5 per thousand cubic meters.
