Naser Riahi, Head of the Iranian Union of Medicine Exporters, said that America’s Merck Sharp and & Dohme (MSD) pharmaceutical company signed a contract to produce medicaments in Iran, Trend reports.
The company reduced prices for its products by 30-40% to gain trust of Iranian partners.
MSD is the first US company to sign a cooperation deal with Iran after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Medical imports in Iran have remained partly limited due to sanctions imposed to stop its nuclear program. Some vital types of medicaments have high demand in Iran.
