Umirzak Shukeyev, President of the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund of Kazakhstan, said at the Presidential Central Communications Service today that a new airline company for domestic flights will open in 2015, Trend reports.
Samruk-Kazyna signed a partner deal with Bombardier (Canada) to buy 10 jets. The company should be registered by May 2014 and buy jets by the end of the year, Shukeyev said.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with Bombardier CEO Pierre Beaudoin yesterday that the Canadian company should open an office in Kazakhstan. He added that Kazakhstan was planning to found a new airline company for domestic flights.
