Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has ordered the foundation of a subsidiary of the Russian Roads Company to build a bridge over the Kerch Strait and connect the Taman Peninsula (Russia) with Crimea (Ukraine).
Russia and Ukraine signed a package of bilateral documents in December 2013, including an agreement to organize the bridge construction. Russian Vice Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov ordered feasibility studies for the project. The Russian Roads and its subsidiary were chosen as the developers of the project.
