Belarus and Azerbaijan plan cooperation in urban development

Belarus and Azerbaijan plan to sign an agreement on cooperation in architecture, urban development and construction, 1news.az reports, citing a communique of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of Belarus, reported by Interfax.

The Belarusian ministry added that the agreement was developed within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between the departments of state administration of architecture and construction of the two countries, signed in January this year during the visit of a delegation of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction to Azerbaijan.

Specialists of the two countries are interested in cooperation in developing legal acts, experience exchange and architectural designs, as well as the development of joint projects.
The Belarusian ministry clarified that Belarusian project organizations will participate in developing projects for the regional development of Greater Baku and construction of single urban development sectors, including territories on the Bay of Baku.

Concrete steps have already been made. Specialists from Belarus have developed a concept for developing the Coastal Avenue of Baku, which was highly rated by Azerbaijan. The cooperation includes housing construction for the low-income population of Azerbaijan.
