In first 7 months of 2010 Armenia produced more cognac and less vodka

Cognac production in Armenia in the first 7 months of this year rose by 34.6%, amounting to 5.7 million liters, the National Statistics Service of the republic reports. 631,300 liters of cognac was produced in July.


Vodka production in January-July dropped by 23.9%, amounting to 4.8 million liters.


Wine production increased by 22%, up to 2.3 million liters, beer production rose by 9.6 million liters against 6.2 million in the same period in 2009.


Sparkling wine production in the first seven months reached 123,800 liters, which is 32.5% more than in January-July 2009.


According to statistics, production of non-alcoholic drinks (lemonades, carbonated and energy drinks) in Armenia dropped by 0.5%, making 19.7 million liters.
