An exhibition of goods exported from Turkey has opened in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashkhabad. Turkish State Minister Zafer Chaglayan, supervising foreign trade, and Vice-Premier of Turkmenistan Hojamuhammet Muhammedov were at the opening, 6news reports.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized in a speech that Turkish companies play an important role in the economic development of Turkmenistan.
State Minister Zafer Chaglayan noted the successful work of Turkish contractors in Turkmenistan and around the world. The level of exports of Turkmenistan to Turkey in the first half of this year rose by 52% compared with the same period last year.
The Turkish-Turkmenian Business Council was held within the framework of the exhibition. The exhibition will continue for 3 days, representing goods of 72 companies.
